She definitely is a legit braider. However, the picture on her website is not her work. I’ve gotten my braids done much neater and clean at the braid shop in Chandler and Mesa. My parts could have been cleaner more tighter and more neat. My parts are kind of all the places and she don’t braid tight enough, where it didn’t even feel like my braids were new. The roots were way too loose and so was the braids.she seemed to rush braid since she’s by herself. But I mean, she gets the job done, just don’t ask for braids that’s gone take longer than 6 hours. She not gone out her all into it.
I made my daughter a hair appointment here and she was professional up until I seen my daughter hair and it was nothing like the picture I showed her, also I realized the images on her site is not her own work which to me is false advertising. I paid $180 and had to provide the hair which she stated I needed 3 packs but my daughter said she only used one pack, the least she could do is give back the unused hair for how much she charged me. I’m disappointed and feel like I wasted money and this is why I wrote a review for others to be cautious with this lady.
BOOKING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I decided to get braids for an upcoming trip and living in Maricopa, I decided to find someone who was convenient to where I live. I came across this site and looked through the pics, read the policies and made the decision to move forward. After I booked my appointment, I sent over my deposit. This process was really easy and convenient.
THE VISIT/CUSTOMER SERVICE/EXPERIENCE: ⭐️
When I got to my appointment, I met Angel who was very quiet when I walked into her home. She barely introduced herself, but that was no big deal. I introduced myself and started small talk. We talked about a few things (kids, lifestyles etc.). I asked her if she had a dog and she told me she doesn’t like dogs because they make the house dirty. Fair enough. I told her I own 4 dogs and she proceeded to shame me and anybody else who owns dogs. She explained that God did not intend for us to own dogs and it’s in the Bible. She asked me how would I survive if someone just threw me in the jungle where I don’t belong. She even went as far as saying one day the dogs will turn on me and maul me or my kids. I was in the chair shocked and shook. I immediately became uncomfortable, but I didn’t say anything because she was in the middle of braiding my hair. I told her it’s about training and diverted the conversation elsewhere. We also talked about our children and the schools they go to. She explained that her kids go to a charter school. I asked if they like wearing uniforms. She said yes, they don’t have a choice. I told her my son went to a charter school, but my daughter never has because she loves to get dressed and wear nice clothes to school (very lighthearted). Again, she went on and on about school not being a fashion show and that kids are there to get an education, not to look cool. Most of the time I felt like she was talking at me, not to me. She even shamed her previous clients to me, including one girl for being a Jehovah’s Witness and she ranted about their beliefs. We did have some decent conversations in between the terse ones, but by this time I was just trying to get through it so I could hurry and get out of there. When she was done she asked me with concern if I liked my hair because I didn’t bother looking at it. I said yes and left as fast as I could.
I was attempting to connect to my hotspot for my phone and I knew exactly which Wi-Fi was hers. It’s so unfortunate when people sit on their high horse because their religious beliefs make them feel like they are better than others and that is exactly what I got from this experience.
THE BRAIDS: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The braids are okay. I know the pics on her site are google images which is okay for some people, but I prefer to see the work of the person doing my hair. She did speak strongly against stylist who take pics of their clients, but then she used those same pics on her website.
