I cannot recommend Copa Mechanic highly enough. After a frustrating experience with Tempe Toyota, the team here saved me thousands of dollars through honest, diligent work.
In mid-March, Tempe Toyota diagnosed my 4Runner with a failed AC compressor. The next day, they claimed a “catastrophic failure” occurred, requiring a full system replacement that quadrupled the original quote. Skeptical of the massive price jump, I declined the service and considered trading in my vehicle.
On May 1st, I sought a second opinion from Copa Mechanic. Ed meticulously checked the AC lines for debris. Finding them completely clean, he correctly deduced that Tempe Toyota’s diagnosis of a catastrophic failure was incorrect. Because a full shop repair was still outside my budget, I chose to replace the compressor and receiver/drier myself during my vacation.
After drawing a vacuum overnight, I brought the vehicle to Copa Mechanic at 8:00 AM the next morning. They took care of me immediately. The mechanic, Sebastian, successfully recharged the system and took the time to address my concerns regarding Toyota’s findings. He even offered to inspect my old compressor to provide clarity and ensure the longevity of my new system.Tempe Toyota completely failed me with an inaccurate diagnosis and an exorbitant quote.
Copa Mechanic earned a customer for life with their honesty, expertise, and stellar customer service. I will continue to recommend them to all my family and friends.

These Copa Mehanics are wonderful. They are very respectful, knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Saved me so much money.
