Discount Tire

Made an appointment for tire rotation. Ricky was great, checked the treads, verified my mileage and gave me some recommendations for future service/purchase. While waiting, I overheard Wyatt answering phone calls. He was VERY professional, upbeat, and personable with customers on the phone and at the desk. We have always been loyal Discount Tire customers and I am SO glad that my local Maricopa store has such great service. THANK-YOU!

Loyal customer lost.

I’ve been bringing my wheels and tires to them for years (I road race) and in the past it was reasonable prices and quality work. Today was the complete opposite of that.

I brought 4 brand new hoosiers to get mounted today. I was charged $145 to dismount 4 tires, and mount 4 tires….. After driving home (over 20 minutes) I discovered one of the tires had been mounted backwards. They are clearly marked inside/outside. So, got back into my truck, drove over another 20 minutes back to the shop. The tire was flipped and brought back to me. I proceeded to ask why I was charged $7 a tire for mounting on top of the usual $7 dismount and $24 installation a tire, and the kid told me thats how it is. I have invoices showing I have not been charged like that in the past.

In summary, I was overcharged, given no attention to detail on a set of $1800 tires (that I have to trust now as I drive triple digits speeds) had to drive an extra near hour round trip, and then argued with like I haven’t been going there for years and have proof of previous sales. Dissapointed doesn’t cover it. I’ll make sure to spread the word to all my fellow enthusiasts.
